The late J.D. Osborn and his son, Jack, began the business in Attalla as the Osborn Produce Company. With the success of this venture, Jack and his three brothers, J.C., Joel and Johnny, bought out the firm and changed the name to Osborn Brothers, Inc.
Who We Are
Our Story Begins in 1947
10 Years Later in October, 1957
The four brothers purchased one of the top produce firms in Alabama, and in October, 1957, the four brothers decided to form their own refrigerated truck line to haul products from all over the southern United States.
After selling their refrigerated truck lines, they devoted all their resources and effort to their wholesale fresh, frozen and canned goods lines for this area.
The four Osborn brothers were proud of their part in the growth of Etowah County. In 2004, Joel became the sole owner of the business. Upon his death in 2014, his widow, Mrs. Betty Osborn, became owner. The third-generation family members Renee Osborn, Nanette Waldrup and Wyman Osborn look forward to continuing the family legacy with growth and success for years to come.
